The UN-SPIDER Bonn International Conference will be taking place from March 12-14, 2024 at the UN Campus in Bonn, Germany. Co-organized by UN-SPIDER (UNOOSA) and the ZFL (Bonn University), with support from DLR (German Aerospace-Center), the conference focuses on disaster monitoring and prevention in Africa, with an emphasis on early warning. Discussions on the crucial role of space-based technologies in early warning systems, aligning with global frameworks, will be part of the agenda. The presentations made by experts on the field will focus on advancements in Earth observation and foster exchange on the "Early Warnings for All" initiative launched by the UN Secretary-General in March 2022, aspiring for comprehensive early warning on a global scale by 2027.Registration is still open and free of charge.
